Full Tilt fraud hands Dominated hands postflop suckout often on all-ins. EX. AK vs. A9 or KQ vs. K6. Both players hit top pair. Bad player goes all in after raise (because they have top pair), good player knows X player is a donk and calls only to get sucked out on often. The dominated hand has 12% chance of winning. Yet wins at an amazing rate of 30-40%.

Brooke. I had signed your guest book in the past, but reading Bobby's message made we want to say that playing in the Avalons in those early years was the best time of my life. The fact that most of us are still alive and communicating makes it outstanding. Thanks so much for this web sight and the memories. Edgar

Bobby O'Day - Sunday, February 28th, 2010 7:49 AM
hi Brooke sorry I didn't sign in earlier, anyway what a great site. hard to believe it was over forty years ago that Brooke, Alan Fowler, Judson Martin and me started the band I really loved that band, Brooke do you remember how we got the name of the band, we opened a phone book and one of us stuck their finger in the book and it landed on Avalon Shores so the band was born. Best of luck to a life long friend. Bobby

I saw Barry Gregory at my church many years ago and told him I had a 45 of the song "I love you, yes I do" He said he didn't have a copy of it, so I gave him mine. Thanks for bringing back memories.

Tiger Petrini's "To Tell The Truth" appearance was on the episode of February 11, 1958. It was last seen on GSN on January 27, 2009.

Jim Considine - Tuesday, January 27th, 2009 1:33 PM
I just saw the 1957(8?) television show, "To Tell the Truth". Identifying Tiger Petrini was the second game of this episode. At the conclusion of the show, the MC announced that Tiger's winnings ($50) would be donated to his school in Eastport, MD. I have spent lots of time in Annapolis, so I Googled his name to find this website.
Best wishes!

Tommy Thompson - Sunday, January 11th, 2009 10:39 PM

Robert Noyce - Sunday, December 28th, 2008 2:27 PM
Brooke, I am John Petrini's lifelong friend. The last time I saw you was at the boatyard-maybe 1997. Butch was still alive then, Tiger and Clara were a little "off" at the time. I can remember lots of band practice in the playroom. Great job on the site-great life as well! Cheers to you for remaining "whole". Stay well and keep it up.

Robbie Meade - Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008 2:15 AM
You were a guitar player and I was a kid. Then I was a guitar player and you were my older brother. Now we're both guitar players and you are my friend. I love you Brooke. You're the reason I started playing and also the reason I am where I am. Weather off Grand cayman made for a weavy gig on the Disney Magic tonight, but the Captain promises smooth and sunny by morning.
Peace,tune,play,repeat,
Robbie

Darlynn Rorer - Monday, November 24th, 2008 4:05 PM
Brooke, this is super.
I remember riding on the back of a certain motorcycle in shorts one summer along Forest Hills Rd. in Annapolis ...first lesson in "watch those tail pipes".
I work with a lot of young professionals, now, and there's a story, I love to tell them about. Lynn and Jimmy, Dale and I (Gary, were you all with us?) went to the Balto-Civic Center to see "Vanilla Fudge". This was Jan-Feb 1969. Does anyone out there remember who was the warm-up band? They were on their first US tour -- not too well known at the time. Oh, yes "Led Zeppelin". Good times, not a care in the world. Thanks so much for doing this.
Love, Darlynn

How are you doing? I've been looking for this info for so long. Do you have any recordings? Like "I need a little time".

Greg Orrigo - Sunday, January 20th, 2008 1:54 PM
Hello Brooke, Around 1966-67 I rec'd a call from an agent asking me if I was free to play with a band already on the road. Their drummer got married & they needed a drummer. I was 19 @ the time & wanted to get out of town I said "yes". He told me to meet the band at the Guy's & Doll's Lounge in Johnston Rhode Island, Mon 6PM. I was there Monday and in my motel room watching tv @ 11am. At 6PM, I was at the Club when a van pulled up with the Avalons on the side. It looked like a greyhound bus to me. I must say the adrenaline was pumping, I met everyone & Dale gave me the song list and said mark the songs you know-after going over the list twice, I marked one song Misty-their break song. You see I was a Jazz Commercial drummer and they were a R&B Soul band. Houston we have a Problem! The Band was great about the problem, Dale got on the drums and said to me do everything I do.Two days later and 40 songs-opening nite-my mind went blank, I didn't know my own name-they worked with me everyday and I started to get better. But never up to the caliber of drummer they were used to.One night at a club in NYC their agent brought in a drummer to sit in with the Band. He was very good. The agent wanted me out. They told him "No" I'm staying. That meant a lot to me. You see we became friends. I was part of their family. One night while playing at the Wagon Wheel in NYC-the first table in front of the bandstand kept requesting "Then you Can Tell Me Goodbye" The #1 or #2 song in the country. Finally, Dale said "Let's do it for them". when we came off the bandstand, they called us over and said "Fellas, we would like to buy you a drink". We are the Casino's and we couldn't do it better.
They were the Avalons! And I played the drums for them on the road. THANKS FOR THE RIDE, I LOVED IT. Greg Orrigo (Hoboken)
ps: the drums are packed-I'm waiting for the call.

Ray Brokamp - Friday, December 7th, 2007 10:10 AM
Hey, Dick Borden- glad you found the site. Still wailing away on the trombone? I've traded my B3 for a 120 rank Casavant Freres but otherwise am still trying to make a joyful noise. Hope you are well. Ray

Joe Walsh - Tuesday, December 4th, 2007 10:39 AM
Brooke,
We never met but I used to play in bands with Sterling in the 80's. Whiskey Hollow Band, AXLE with Stevie and Timmy Bausum. Spellbound, a short lived little rocker. Do you have any photos from the days of Second Eagle or The Daylight Band. Gary and Dale were members. Remember Dickey Rausch ? Great website. Thanks,
Joe Walsh

Dick Borden - Thursday, October 11th, 2007 2:57 PM
Ray Brokamp and I were in a band in South Carolina while serving together in the army, 1970-71. He would tell stories about the Avalons on the road. After all these years, I finally can put faces to the names who traveled the country in that VW Bus. I hope Ray is well and still sending the B3 through the Leslies.

Lynn Slebzak - Monday, October 8th, 2007 10:28 AM
What a beautiful and emotional journey back in time. When all dreams were attainable and no star to high to reach. From the Armory, to the Keg and the road trip, which was a true test of your survival skills. A Family of Avalon's determined to make it. Some hearts broken, some lost, and some gone, but not forgotten. I will always cherish these memories. Special thanks to Tina and Darlynn for all their love and support. Brooke use to say "If you think your heart can take it, come fly with me". And fly we did.
Take care and God Bless.

Daddy/Paw Paw & Sister Rebecca! Your website & CD are a blessing to my famly & no doubt to all who give "Trinity" a moment of their time. Even my Kelly, just 2, requests to hear Paw Paw's songs. May God work through your ministry to lead the lost to Him so they too may receive God's gift of eternal life. Always in our prayers!!!

I was playing with your brother and Lynley tonight for a birthday party and was introduced to your music, your mission and your website...I think this is wonderful and I wish you the best with your wonderful gift. I look forward to hearing the CD. Many Blessings.

Brooke and Rebecca,
Playing on Trinity was an honor. Thank you both for letting me be part of a truly beautiful recording. May your message reach around the globe.
